Calm my anxious heart!!! IT IS MY FAVORITE!!! :) It's a a tradition to read it every year in my world! :)
I haven't read The Help yet, but I did get it for Christmas so I'll be reading it soon I hope and will check out your review. It is a bit late at night here for me to think about recommendations but the first four favourites that enter my head - O Pioneers by Willa Cather, Eva Luna by Isabel Allende, The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins, and Fugitive Pieces by someone whose name, I am ashamed to say, escapes me at the moment. Also did you read The Little Stranger by Sarah Walters, that I wouldn't say as a favourite but was good read. Also, MUST go to bed but, the Alexander McCall Smith books are really uplifting - the ones set in Botswana and Edinburgh. Good night! Sorry for late comment on post.
