Swaddle. Colic Ease Grip Water. Moby wrap.
Ashley,I secretly stalk your blog...well it's no secret anymore. And I love it, and looking at your adorable kids. Oooh, sorry I used the words "stalk" and "kids" very close together. Anywho, we too have a new one who cries (and pukes) a lot. I find that I can stay generally sane as long as I get my goodies, aka: daily cup, or cups of coffee, lots of chocolate and anything I want from Target. Just a suggestion. Oh and Britt is GORGEOUS!Amanda Squibb
My son Tristan was "High Energy"... I liked to call him that instead of "High Maintenance" :) Here is my list of things for you to KEEP SANE and to try on him! :) 1. FEED HIM! [Idk if you are breastfeeding, but that's really what I did to keep him quiet.. he was BORN TO SUCK SUCK SUCK the life out of me...3 months...he got better]2. I moved into my parents house for a while. :) [1st time mommy/full time working husband = STRESSED OF MOMMY]3. when I couldn't feed him in public.... Gripe water*** this REALLY helped me when I was shopping and almost on the verge of tears... :( It's a type of water that REALLY helped his cranky self in public... 4. Walks... Put that baby in the stroller and WALK WALK WALK.... [Tristan would LOVE to sit up, so I swaddled him and put the buckle around my tiny man and sat him on in his stroller! :) LOL! Some moms might look down on me.. but i say to them. "pooey" [he still HAS to sit up... he gets so mad..]5. MONK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I watched ALL of Monk's Seasons to help me with my sanity and my postpartum!!! :) Nooooo joke! It was a DELIGHT and a treat! This also helped me with my relationship with my husband. :) It drew up closer... :) We laughed & laughed until we cried... So, Mr. Monk has a special place in my heart. :) Now that I wrote a book... one more thing...WORSHIP MUSIC...I say Kari Jobe is fabulous! :) praying for your sanity! :) 1 mommy to another.. ;) PRAYING PRAYING PRAYING!
Breastfeeding. Jack was happy as a clam as long as he was breastfeeding. He would take his sweet time...1 1/2 hrs for both sides for the first 3 months...Sorry he is fussy. He is cute though, crying and all...
Miles was a reflux/colicky baby :(not fun.1) he lived in the moby wrap. being upright helped him a lot (if you don't have one and want to borrow one...)2) sleeping on his stomach, helped him sleep somewhere other than ME.3) I also used the gripe water, I don't know if it really did anything, but I used it!
