If you want to get a closer look at this plan (which, you should) follow this link.

Favorite part: The master suite. Do you see the hugeness of the bathroom and the study linked to the bedroom with

Least favorite part: The garage faces the front. The entry isn't grand and wide-open to the back of the house.

Score this one. 1-5.

I give it a 3.5. You?

Ready

Jeans, originally uploaded by Sweet Portrayal.

My friend, Mrs. M. and her husband are expecting their first baby this weekend. I'm pretty sure I'll be meeting baby M before the week is through...

This gorgeous photo was done of Mr. & Mrs. M. by my friend Kim of Sweet Portrayal. Check out the rest of her work at her website, Sweet Portrayal.

I'm ready to hold this new baby...

Update: She's in labor and baby's on its way! Teehee!

You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby...

Beck ~ 3.5 years old

We had good luck at the Picture People yesterday.

Happy Weekend!

Frivolous Friday

The Academy Awards were last week.

Oh...you already knew that? Well, la-di-da!

Let's look at some cute couples, shall we?

Will & Jada
Why is she so stinkin' adorable and why is he stinkin' likeable?

Seal & Heidi
Possibly my favorite celebrity couple. Let me check...yup, they are.

John & Jennifer
She's precious; he's hot. Good match. :)
(that dress? love.)

Gwen & Gavin
Fun people. Cute babies. Ugly dress. Oh well.

Diane & Josh
She looks absolutely gorgeous. Love this dress.

Claire & ...husband?
She looks elegant; so so good.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
...oops, er...
Wish they didn't commit adultery to be together (there, I said it).

1. I'm expectant, I'm waiting, I trust.
2. Why do I have two kids and not clones of myself?
3. How does this life work, anyway?
4. Every morning, I put creamer in my coffee.
5. I consider myself lucky because I have Mr. B.
6. One day we’ll see why it all happened.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending time w/ my family, tomorrow my plans include shopping & fondue, and Sunday, I want to sleep in!

Shoppin' Fool

Remember this post and this one from last Fall?

I think we shall do this "screen shopping" trip again in a Spring version. Coming soon, my pretties, coming soon!

Anthropologie storefront.
Only the best store ever!

My Spot

There has been a meme floating around some of my favorite blogs asking where you blog. Although I have not been tagged, I wanted to show you "my spot."

The chair is old and kinda awkward and not gorgeous but it's perfect and the damask throw is my favorite.

Yes, those are my husband-created book shelves in the back...they're not finished being filled yet, so you don't get to see them in their entirety today. Soon; promise.

That's where I blog. Consider yourself (un)tagged...where do you blog?
Be sure to leave me a comment if you post your spot so I know you did it! I want to see...

Swoony Bathrooms

I love a good bathroom. I've never really had a good bathroom. They've always been on the mine-shaft-small side and invaded by children's playthings. But I still love a good bathroom.

Eating/Reading/Sleeping in the bathtub are some of my favorite past times. Really, they are.

The exposed stone here surrounded by pristine white is dazzling.

If you lean more toward the modern, here's a nice look. Floating flowers are a must.

Who wouldn't wake up cheery to a bathroom like this yellow/white tiled one? Those mirrors are delicious and the double pedestal sink. Truly, there isn't a thing wrong with this photo except the fact that it's not of my bathroom...

Here's one I just love. The dark window treatments, white walls, antique-y chandelier, ornate seating...

Here's for the bather in need of a spa feel. I could get used to it. The pretty windows add so much.

Love this wire chandelier. So light and airy and just perfect for a bathroom. Grey walls and a roaring fire. Yes and yes.

If I were to build a fantasy bathroom from scratch I would include: double sinks, an old fahioned looking clawfoot tub with jets (I'm sure they make these...), a large walk-in shower, high ceilings, a fireplace, the option of soft lighting or bright lighting, luxurious towels, heated floors of the finest tiles, windows...lots of them.

What are your dream bathroom non-negotiables?
