Specialists in Living

"The return of good times is not wholly a matter of money. There is a prosperity of living which is quite as important as prosperity of the pocketbook. It is not enough to be willing to make the best of things as they are. Resignation will get us nowhere. We must build what amounts to a new country. We must revive the ideals of the founders. We must learn the new values of money. It is time for pioneering - to create a new security for the home and the family...Where we were specialists in spending, we are becoming specialists in living."
~October 1932 issue of Ladie's Home Journal
(During the Depression.)

A great thought, especially today as the stock market is stinking...

The idea of being grateful for what we have and sharing it in the midst of asking God to help us earn more to do the same with is good! We are a spoiled nation who have more value in the dollar bill and what it offers than human life itself. Look at the medical profession as a whole, the drug companies, the abortion industry, the oil magnates and the American Dream becomes the American Nightmare. Even the Walmart mentality must be questioned. Do we just accept it. No we must challenge the integrity of everything we participate in!
